Federal Poly Damaturu Celebrates Dr. Sabiu Shittu Bindawa’s PhD Milestone

Dr. Sabiu Shittu Bindawa, Technical Assistant to the Rector, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, has successfully defended his PhD Viva Voce in Food Mycotoxins and Environmental Microbiology at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, marking a significant academic milestone.

In a tribute, colleagues and associates described the achievement as a reflection of his dedication, discipline, and commitment to scholarship despite the demands of service.

"Dr. Bindawa’s journey shows what leadership by example looks like. Even while carrying responsibility as Technical Assistant to the Rector and mentor, he pursued research with consistency until completion," the tribute stated.

It noted that his research area, Food Mycotoxins and Environmental Microbiology, is critical to Nigeria’s efforts on food safety, public health, and environmental protection.

"At a time when food safety and environmental health require urgent attention, his expertise positions him to mentor more students, influence policy, and contribute to protecting communities," it added.

The tribute also extended gratitude to Dr. Bindawa’s supervisors, examiners, mentors, family, colleagues, and friends for their guidance, prayers, and support throughout his academic journey.

It prayed that Almighty Allah makes the knowledge beneficial and opens more doors for research, service, and impact.
