Malami Led Kaduna-NIPR Wins National Events Management Award

The Kaduna State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, has emerged winner of the Events Management Award at the 2026 edition of the National Spokespersons Awards.

The award was announced by the Chairman of the Jury, Prof. Saudat Abdulbaqi, following a rigorous evaluation of nominees across various categories nationwide.

In a statement signed by the Chapter’s Public Relations Executive, Malam Mohammed Saleh Shettima, the Kaduna-NIPR was recognised for its exceptional planning, coordination and execution of high-impact public relations events that strengthened stakeholder engagement and promoted ethical communication.

According to the statement, the award presentation ceremony will hold on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

The event will also feature the Annual Economic Confidential Lecture themed “Anti-Corruption Reforms, Economic Stability and Effective Communication.”

The Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, will deliver the keynote address, while the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi, will serve as Chairman of the occasion.

Reacting to the announcement, the Chairman of Kaduna-NIPR, Malam Haroun Malami, described the award as a significant milestone and a proud moment for the Chapter.

“This recognition reflects the collective dedication, professionalism and commitment of our executive committee and members towards promoting excellence in public relations practice,” Malami said.

He dedicated the award to all members of Kaduna-NIPR and reaffirmed the Chapter’s resolve to continue advancing professionalism, ethical communication and capacity development in line with the vision of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

The National Spokespersons Awards is one of Nigeria’s foremost platforms for recognising excellence in public communication, strategic stakeholder engagement and spokespersonship across the public and private sectors.
